1971 के युद्ध में, भारतीय सेना की 10 पैरा स्पेशल फोर्सेज ने दुश्मन के इलाके में घुसकर 80 किमी तक चाचरो, नागर पारकर और इस्लामकोट में दुश्मन की चौकियों और आपूर्ति ठिकानों को नष्ट कर दिया। इस साहसिक मिशन में 36 दुश्मन सैनिक मारे गए, 20 को पकड़ लिया गया, और भारतीय कमांडो बिना किसी नुकसान के 500 किमी की खतरनाक यात्रा पूरी कर वापस लौट आए।
इस अद्वितीय गुप्त मिशन की वीरता को 10 पैरा स्पेशल फोर्सेज को चाचरो 1971 युद्ध सम्मान से नवाजा गया और इस वीरता के लिए कर्नल भवानी सिंह को महावीर चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया।

The Federal Bank Naya Raipur Soldierathon is a unique running event to honor the wounded warriors and martyrs of our Armed Forces. Held at Central Park, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, the event celebrates Vijay Diwas, marking India’s monumental victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war. The event also supports the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center in Kirkee, Pune, where injured soldiers receive treatment and care.
Runners will have the rare opportunity to race alongside soldiers from the Naya Raipur Military Station, experiencing the discipline and camaraderie of military life. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to run for a cause and show your respect for our brave soldiers.
